The spray technique with the "WOW" effect

The special SprayMax aerosol technology cannot be compared with conventional spray can technology. Only the optimum interaction of production know-how and aerosol technology, right down to the right combination of hardware (can, valve, spray nozzle, mixing ball), enable the unmistakable SprayMax aerosol technology and the associated system and user benefits.

SprayMax

Homogeneous spray pattern
A homogeneous spray pattern with even distribution, defined spray edges and low overspray is the guarantee for professional applications, regardless of the product, whether filler, basecoat or clearcoat. The optimal SprayMax spray pattern enables efficient work, especially the lower overspray and fogging compared to the spray gun, is advantageous for many applications.

The low overspray reduces the overall process costs, i.e. less preparatory work, less masking, less material consumption, less rework and polishing. SprayMax technology is therefore predestined for use in the spot repair sector, or wherever professional, but at the same time fast and cost-optimised applications are required.

Pressure profile
An important feature for an even coating is the constant pressure during application.

Due to the unique formulation, the pressure and application rate of SprayMax aerosol cans is constant from the start of spraying until the aerosol can is completely empty. All SprayMax 1K and 2K aerosol cans deliver constant pressure (red graph) and a consistent application rate (blue line).

With the spray gun, the compressed air comes from outside and hits the paint particles shortly after they escape through the gun nozzle. This immediately atomises them and distributes them radially, resulting in heavy contamination of the surrounding area, which has to be cleaned again.

SprayMax sprays completely differently: the propellant is dissolved in the paint particles. After the paint particles have left the spray nozzle, the atomisation process continues until the painting surface is reached. On the one hand, you have larger, heavier particles at the origin of the spray jet, which are thus much more targeted towards the surface to be painted. On the other hand, the continuous atomisation produces a uniform painting result. In addition, you can see from the pictures that the SprayMax spray jet has much sharper edges than the spray gun, which illustrates that the paint particles are held together better, resulting in much less overspray.

Variator spray nozzle

With the Variator spray nozzle, the spray jet direction and the spray jet size can be optimally adjusted to the damage location to be worked on and the respective damage size easily and quickly:

  • Horizontally and vertically adjustable spray direction
  • Infinitely adjustable spray pattern size (from maximum to minimum)
  • Spray pattern size can also be influenced via spray distance

THE ONE WITH THE RED BUTTON

All about the original 2K technology

2K can cross section

The first component is the paint. Depending on the application, it can be a primer, a colour lacquer, a car top coat, clear lacquer or special lacquers. The second component is the hardener. It ensures that the paint hardens after application, cross-links and thus becomes very hard and resistant. A 2K spray requires an additional working cut before you can use it:

  • Shake can well for 2 minutes
  • Remove the red button from the cap on the spray can
  • Place the red button on the bottom of the spray can on the pen. Make sure it is placed straight on the pin.
  • Then press the red button firmly in
  • Then shake the spray can well again for 2 minutes so that the 2 components are mixed well together

The name SprayMax stands for professional applications with aerosol can paints. 2K stands for two components. They are kept separate from each other in the spray can. Directly before use, the activation of the spray can mixes the two components together and thus causes the desired chemical reaction after spraying. Only original coatings from well-known manufacturers are used.

The 1st component is the paint. Depending on the application, it can be a primer, a colour lacquer, a car top coat, clear lacquer or special lacquers.
The 2nd component is the hardener. It ensures that the paint hardens after application, cross-links and thus becomes very hard and resistant.

Shelf life

The spray can has a shelf life of several years. This only applies if the two components have not yet been mixed, i.e. the spray can has not yet been activated. As soon as it is activated, the lacquer and hardener are mixed together so that the chemical reaction starts, the cross-linking begins.

The hardening of the paint takes place not only on the painted surface, but also in the spray can. After 1-3 days, depending on the system used, the paint in the spray can is so far along in the curing process that it can no longer be used. Poti). Precise information on this is given on the respective can and on the Technical Data Sheet.

Drying time

The time until surface or physical drying is comparable to conventional 1-component sprays. After only 20-30 minutes, the surface is touch-safe and the coating is complete.

The cross-linking acion of the 2K system, however, takes longer, so that the desired properties of the finished applied layer are achieved in the following 1-3 days. For this reason, you should not drive to the car wash immediately after a refinish, whether from an aerosol or a spray gun. The paint is only fully scratch-resistant after 48-72 hours.

Only those with the red button

Not everywhere that says 2K on it, is also 2K in it!

We tested SprayMax 2K clearcoat against a so-called 2K clearcoat without pot life:

  • Painting result after 8 days of complete curing both surfaces look identical for the time being
  • The left side of the shapes was treated with petrol for 5 minutes.
  • Right picture: With SprayMax, surface and gloss remain unchanged after treatment.
  • Left picture: The surface and gloss of competitor products appear much duller and the paint is affected.

Advantages of the SprayMax 2K spray can

  • UV & weather resistant
  • Salt resistant
  • scratch-resistant
  • petrol & solvent resistant
  • Extremely resistant
  • Prevents corrosion
With a SprayMax® 2K aerosol you get
a professional result which is quality
and durability of the original paintwork.
