Preparation

Cleaning

The surface to be machined must be cleaned with suitable agents, e.g. silicone remover and dust binding cloth. Dust, grease, loose old paint and rust must be removed.

Check shade / branch painter

Before direct application to the object, it is essential to check the color shade using the spray card or sample card.

Trial spraying

Before the first application, the spray paint can should be briefly test-sprayed after shaking to transport out any air in the riser tube. The color shade can also be checked on this occasion. Always test spray outside the area to be painted.

Check shade / Automotive

Before direct application to the vehicle, be sure to check the color shade by means of a spray card or spray plate.

Shake can for 2 minutes

For homogeneous mixing of filler and propellant, shake can for approx. 2 minutes, measured from audible stop of mixing balls.

2K Activation

2K Remove release button

Step 1: Remove the can knob from the cap and place it straight on the pin in the can base. Place the can back on a firm, horizontal surface with the can button at the bottom.

Shake 2K can

Step 3: After the hardener has been released, the spray paint can must be shaken again for 2 minutes, starting from the audible stop of the mixing balls. Shaking ensures a homogeneous mixture of filling material, hardener and propellant gas.

Activate 2K

Step 2: Press can down with even pressure. Listen for a cracking sound. Press only once.

2K Dispose of release button

Step 4: To make it immediately apparent that the hardener has been triggered, the red button should not be put back into the can cap after the triggering process, but should be disposed of immediately.

Process

Field of application outside

Product can be used outdoors. Observe the technical data sheet and especially the drying time.

Polishing

Machine polishing before paint repair. Machine polishing of the transition area from new to old paint and the transition / fade-in zone.

Sanding "wet" (by hand)

Machining and grinding of the substrate for subsequent machining steps. Additional information Grit indicates which grit and grinding steps are recommended. For a better, finer grinding result, "wet" grinding can be used.

Sanding "Dry" (machine)

For fast, homogeneous and dry sanding of the substrate. Additional indication of grit size indicates which grit size and sanding steps are recommended.

Spray distance and spray passes

Provides information on the recommended spraying distance from the spray paint can to the object specified in centimeters.
Also indicates how many spray passes are necessary or recommended.

Drying

Additional information in minutes or hours. Indicates the time after which the processed object is dust-dry. The time is based on a room temperature of 20°C / 68°F and the corresponding dry film thickness, see technical data sheet.

Drying "non-slip"

Drying level 4 according to DIN 53150. Additional information in minutes or hours. Indicates the time after which the processed object will be grip-stable. Time specification refers to room temperature of 20°C / 68°F and the corresponding dry film thickness, see technical data sheet.

Drying "infrared device"

Short-wave infrared radiation, for setting see technical data sheet. Distance approx. 50-70 cm / 20-27 inches. Object temperature approx. 60-70°C / 140°F - 160°F. Additional information in minutes indicates when the object is dry and can be continued in the process.

Spray valve empty

1K products can be used until the contents have been used up. To prevent the spray head and the channel from becoming clogged, turn the cans upside down and spray the riser tube and the spray head empty of product residues and adhesions in 1 to 2 spray strokes.

Indoor application

Could be used indoor in a well-ventilated area.

Sanding "Dry" (by hand)

Processing and grinding of the substrate for subsequent processing steps. Additional information on grit size indicates which grit size  steps are recommended. Dry sanding recommended.

Sanding "Dry" (machine / plate diameter)

For fast, homogeneous and dry grinding of the substrate. Additional information: Size of the sanding disc for better work on edges and curves as well as lower external rotation speed. Additional information indicates which grit steps are recommended.

Sanding "wet" (machine)

For a homogeneous, optimum substrate or layer structure, the damaged area must be sanded. For fast and homogeneous work, machine sanding with an eccentric sander is recommended. Additional information indicates which grit is recommended. Wet sanding recommended for optimal surface.

Yield

Provides information on the possible area to be coated, depending on spray passes and layer thicknesses. Indication in centimeters or quadtatmeter. Coating thicknesses measured against dry film thicknesses.

Drying "dust dry"

Drying level 1 according to DIN 53150. Additional information in minutes or hours. Indicates the time after which the processed object is dust-dry. Time specification refers to room temperature of 20°C / 68°F and the corresponding dry film thickness, see technical data sheet.

Drying "assembly-proof"

Drying level 5 according to DIN 53150. Additional information in minutes or hours. Indicates the time after which the processed object is ready for assembly. Time specification refers to room temperature of 20°C / 68°F and the corresponding dry film thickness, see technical data sheet.

Flash-off time

Time between sprays or applications, specified in minutes (depending on room temperature, specification refers to approx. 20-23°C / 68°F - 75°F.

Dispose of cans

Spray paint cans that have been emptied of residues are recycled via the collection of recyclable materials (yellow garbage can, yellow bag, containers for lightweight packaging). For commercial use, disposal via the waste disposal company.

Product related notes

Attention

Additional note pointing out particularly important handling or process steps (see technical data sheet).

Adjust variator

Infinitely adjustable, variable spray head. The spraying direction can be adjusted horizontally or vertically. The spray pattern size can be continuously adjusted from maximum to minimum via the blue wheel on the spray head. Optimal application to the surface to be treated is possible. Cleaning either by turning the spray paint can upside down and briefly spraying the riser tube empty several times. Adjust the variator here from max. to min. and spray or use the gun cleaner.

Storage stability

Indicates how long the product can be stored or used in an unopened or unsprayed state or in the 2C range in an unreleased state. The service life refers to an unused aerosol can, with proper storage between 15-25°C / 60°F - 80°F and a relative humidity not exceeding 60%. The aerosol can must be stored and transported in an upright position, dry and protected from chemical and mechanical influences.

Storage note "Cold"

The product is sensitive to cold. Protect from cold and frost. For exact temperature range and additional information, see technical data sheet.

Gloss level "silk gloss / silk matte"

Measured gloss level at 60° measuring angle. Since the measurement figures vary depending on the substrate (paper, contrast card, painted cardboard, metal test sheet), the average value of the measurement is given in each case, as well as the corresponding bandwidth in units.

FillClean content specification/bottling date

Immediately after the filling process has been completed, the filler should note the respective color identification and the filling date on the spray paint can. This avoids errors and overlaying.

Clean spray head

For special valve: The usual cleaning of the spray head by turning the spray paint can upside down and spraying briefly does not technically work here. To prevent the spray head from becoming misaligned and clogged, thoroughly wipe the front of the spray head and the spray channel outlet opening with a cloth or rag after use.

Storage advice "cold/heat"

The product is sensitive to cold and heat. For exact temperature range and additional information, see technical data sheet.
